JEDI – Youth, Education, Diversity and Innovation

Summary

The research community of practice JEDI - Youth Studies, Education, Diversity and Innovation/CIIE-FPCEUP, seeks to contribute to the scientific field of Educational Sciences, namely through the development of research projects, organization of scientific events, collaboration with other entities and national and international networks, as well as with other faculties of the University of Porto and institutions of the city.
Focusing on the study of youth, education and diversity in different contexts and innovation in the field of education, it comprehends different research and intervention problems, and brings together common interests around five main axes:

• youth’s relationship with school ;
• cultures, identities and diversities;
• children and youth at risk (and family);
• health and sport;
• digital skills and innovation.

Master’s students, PhD students and researchers in ongoing research projects are a part of JEDI, creating in the group a momentum of its own. It is also a space that welcomes a research community of practice and, more recently, a writing community of practice, in strong articulation with the Master's and Doctoral Program in Educational Sciences of FPCEUP.
