Agendas para a Juventude e as Suas Comunidades: Propostas de Jovens a Crescer em Regiões de Fronteira [Agendas for Youth and Their Communities: Proposals from Young People Growing Up in Border Regions] is a document that aims to contribute to the debate around integrated public policies, where aspects related to education, youth development, and regional development converge. Resulting from a study carried out in the 38 border regions of mainland Portugal, and involving young students, schools, youth associations, and municipal councils, this document favors an understanding of young people as actors of change in the present time. This document presents the priorities of young people and their agendas and how they see themselves as protagonists in the development of their communities. In addition to the contribution in terms of scientific knowledge on youth, this document points to the relevance of defining youth policies in situ and informing contexts of work with young people and their professionals.
