This book - A Vida nas Escolas: Entre as Experiências e as Medidas [Life in Schools: Between Experiences and Measures] - presents the summaries of the speeches given by Professor José Bravo Nico from the University of Évora and Professor Mónica Vallejo Ruiz from the University of Murcia, as well as the abstracts of the papers accepted and presented as part of the IV Seminário Internacional de Observatórios de Educação e Formação [IV International Seminar of Education and Training Observatories]. This event was held in June 2017 and organised by the Observatory of Life in Schools (OBVIE) team, with the dual aim of publicising the activities carried out by the schools working in partnership with OBVIE and giving visibility to research that is relevant to informed decision-making by schools.
This edition, focusing on the theme "A vida nas escolas - entre as experiências e as medidas" [Life in schools - between experiences and measures], sought, in a single space/time, to promote dialogue between OBVIE projects, other areas of research and intervention by CIIE members, researchers from other institutions and educators/teachers who find here a pause to reflect in an informed way on practices of educational success.
