CONVERSATION WITH...
This is a cycle of spontaneous conversations about Adult Education, ‘without a network’, in which the interviewees don't know the issues under discussion beforehand. It's a joint initiative between CEAD (Centre for Research in Adult Education and Community Intervention, University of the Algarve), CIIE (Centre for Educational Research and Intervention, University of Porto) and the Paulo Freire Institute in Portugal. At this event, we will be organising a talk with Luís Rothes.

LUÍS ROTHES holds a PhD in Education Sciences from the University of Porto and is a retired Coordinating Professor at the Porto Polytechnic School of Education. He was President of the Technical-Scientific Council between 2011 and 2017, and was Pro-President of the Polytechnic of Porto between 2014 and 2018. He is an integrated researcher at the inED - Centre for Research and Innovation in Education. He has been involved in various research and intervention projects in the fields of adult education and training. He was a member of the Advisory Board of the National Agency for Adult Education and Training and, later, of the General Council of the National Agency for Qualification. Between 2019 and 2024, as a service commission, he was National Coordinator of PIAAC - International Programme for the Assessment of Adult Competencies, promoted by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
