On November 5, 2024, starting at 2 p.m., the Centre for Research and Intervention in Education (CIIE) of the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Porto (FPCEUP) will host students from the 3rd year of the Theatre Degree at the University of Minho, specifically within the scope of the curricular units “Theatre and Communities” (Tiago Porteiro) and “Collective Project” (Nuno M. Cardoso).
PROGRAMME
Tuesday, November 5th
14:00-16:30 | Open Rehearsal of the Collective Project, with teacher and director Nuno M. Cardoso.
The current project, which will be presented in Guimarães at the beginning of January, is based on the texts: MacBeth, by William Shakespeare, and The Handmaid's Tale, by Margaret Atwood.
16:30-18:00 | Open Class Principles and Possibilities of the Theatre of the Oppressed in Educational Practice, with CIIE researcher and facilitator Joana P. Cruz.
18:00-20:00 | Students will attend the Theater-Forum play Caring Every Day, by the Theater and Politics Laboratory, at the School of Education (ESE).
Until 6pm, the session will take place in room 254 of FPCEUP. The Forum Theatre play will take place in room A118 of the ESE.
Admission is free, but registration is required (it is possible to take part in both sessions or just one of them).
