In February we will have another Dialogic Tertulia, hosted by Álvaro Pantoja Leite. The purpose of the meeting will be to hold a dialogue on circularities and interculturalities in education/training, based on the Freirean (re)invention of Culture Circles.

About the tertulant:
Born and raised in the city of Rio de Janeiro, he lived and worked for over 30 years in the Northeast region of Brazil, living in the city of Olinda-Pernambuco. Since 2009 he has lived in Porto.
He has professional experience in social and educational intervention programmes and projects promoted by civil society organisations (NGOs), an activity inspired by Paulo Freire's thinking and contextualised in the Latin American Popular Education movement. Between 1990 and 2005 he was part of the team of trainers at the Centro Nordestino de Animação Popular (CENAP-Recife, Brazil), an institution dedicated to developing training processes with educators from non-governmental organisations, community organisations and social movements.
University lecturer, trainer; social pedagogue, art educator; degree in Philosophy (São Paulo-Brazil), postgraduate degree in Sociology (Recife-Brazil), PhD in Educational Sciences (FPCE-University of Porto, Portugal, 2013). Expertise: Socio-educational Intervention Methodologies; Art-Education (Education through Art); Training of Social Educators; Training of Trainers and Teachers.
