The submission phase for proposals for oral presentations of scientific papers at the XVII International Seminar “Education for Democracy: challenges, dilemmas and potentialities”, organised by the Doctoral Program in Educational Sciences of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto, is now open.

* This call is for the oral presentation of scientific papers within the scope of the XVII International Seminar of the PDCE. Proposals should preferably engage with the seminar's general theme and may fall within the following thematic areas (without these being limitations to submission):

* Time and Space: Exploration of the temporal, spatial, and territorial dimensions in which education and democracy are inscribed and configured.

* Participation: Reflection on agency, inclusion, and participatory processes in educational and democratic contexts.

* Technology: Reflection on digital transformations in educational practices, forms of social interaction, and contemporary democratic processes.

Intersectionality: Approaches that articulate inequalities, knowledge, and identities, addressing issues such as the hierarchization of knowledge and global citizenship.
