International Seminar Building Pillars of the European Project - European Citizenship in debate

The Centre for Educational Research and Intervention (CIIE) and the European Information Centre Jacques Delors (CIEJD) collaborate in this international conference, which results from an educational action of the initiative of the European Commission, through CIEJD, as intermediary structure.

The conference

• Interrogates the contemporary meanings of European Citizenship;
• Discusses the project "Building Pillars of the European design with Education Culture and Citizenship: intentions, processes and outcomes;
• Promotes debate and critical vigilance about European citizenship;
• Gives visibility to individual and collective capacities to engage and pursue European Citizenship on the basis of participation and decision making.

Open to ALL, it will be a forum where activists, professionals and students (Ph.D and other) can present and discuss their research or intervention work.

Abstracts of proposed papers for communication to be sent no later than August 22 to the email address coppeecc@fpce.up.

Confirmation of acceptance of abstract will be emailed by August 29, 2014.

Formatting for abstracts

The submission in a Word document should include: the title, key words (5 words), abstract (max 500 words), methodology (max 200 words) existing / expected results (max 200 words), conclusions (max 200 words) references (max 300 words).
