Manuscript deadline: 1 July 2025

The editors of the journal Educação, Sociedade & Culturas (ESC) invite doctoral students and emerging researchers to submit articles focusing on old, but still relevant, and emerging questions and problems in education. Empirical studies are privileged but with robust theoretical and methodological frameworks.

Not being limited to these, the following main thematic lines are considered:

  • Voices of children and young people in formal, informal and non-formal education
  • Schools and communities networking for quality education
  • New places of education
  • New actors in the governance of education
  • New challenges for higher education with the arrival of new students
  • The place of education researchers in academia and society
  • Challenges in education to promote wellbeing

The aim of this issue, at the national and international level, is to encourage and support processes of dissemination and scientific writing by young researchers.
