On 3 and 4 November, the EEPN (European Education Policy Network) Annual Conference took place in Ireland, attended by CIIE researchers Luciana Joana and Rita Tavares de Sousa. This year's conference was dedicated to the theme "Teachers and school leaders towards a sustainable whole school approach for quality and inclusive education", which resulted in the following policy recommendations, as well as four papers that can be consulted here.
Funded by the European Commission, the European Education Policy Network on Teachers and School Leaders is a European network of relevant organisations (policymakers, practitioners, researchers and other stakeholders) that aims to promote cooperation, policy development and implementation at different levels of governance and to support the European Commission's policy work on teachers and school leaders. This network builds on existing activities developed at the European level, in particular initiatives and projects supported through European Union programmes in the field of education. The institution that coordinates this network, which currently includes 29 partners from 18 countries, one of which is CIIE/FPCEUP, is the European School Heads Association. CIIE's team on the project is coordinated by Amélia Lopes.
The project started in January 2019 and will finish at the end of this year.
