IV Meeting of the Transversal Peer Mentoring Program of the U.Porto

On 18 April, between 4.30 pm and 9 pm, FPCEUP hosted the IV Meeting of the U.Porto Transversal Peer Mentoring Programme under the theme U.Porto Mentoring to Create History(s).

The programme was attended by the Vice-Rector of the University of Porto, Prof. José Castro Lopes, and the Director of FPCEUP, Prof. Pedro Nobre, at the welcoming session, which was followed by conversation circles for mentors and mentees to share their experiences, refreshments and a cultural moment with the Rocktonight Trio.

The U.Porto Mentorship has its origins in the FPCEUP Mentorship, which has been in operation since the 2011/2012 academic year and currently involves almost 5,000 students and more than 100 teachers and technicians from 12 of U.Porto's 14 organisational units and 4 of the University Residences.

Teresa Medina (President) and Elisabete Ferreira, members of the CIIE, are part of the Scientific-Pedagogical Committee of the U.Porto Mentoring Programme.
Created in 2019, "The Transversal Peer Mentoring Programme is an institutional programme for welcoming, integrating and experiencing solidarity in higher education. It brings together current and new national and international students at U.Porto to feel better integrated on an academic, personal and social level, promoting academic success, dropout prevention and the development of transversal skills."
