The Inclusion+ project (Tackling the challenges of Erasmus+ mobility inclusion and diversity at higher education level) is a new project underway at CIIE, funded by the Erasmus+ program, the European Commission's program in the fields of Education, Training, Youth and Sport (2021-2027).
Starting in November 2023 and ending in October 2026, this strategic partnership is coordinated by Thaís França, from CIES-ISCTE, and includes the participation of CIIE/FPCEUP, Vilnius University (Lithuania), Turku University (Finland) and Galatasaray University (Turkey).
The CIIE team is coordinated by Cosmin Nada and includes Amélia Veiga, João Caramelo and a research fellow in the process of being hired.
The kick-off meeting will take place on January 11 and 12.
This project aims to promote inclusion and diversity in Erasmus+ mobility in higher education, understanding the barriers faced by students with fewer opportunities to participate in international mobility, namely students with caring responsibilities and students with disabilities. By establishing cooperation between universities and local authorities, Inclusion+ will address both higher education institutions and the issue of inclusion in and by cities.
