The Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth awarded the ODEC_CIIE the Ethics Flag

The Sport, Education and Communities Observatory (ODEC) is structured around a systematic action-reflection exercise in which a multidisciplinary team from health, education, sport and technology participates.

The award of the Ethics Flag reflects ODEC's mission to accompany, monitor and collaborate with partner organisations, reinforcing the importance of ethics in sports and education policies and practices, but also the action-research format proposed by the Observatory itself, based on DeCCi - Sport and Citizen Science: Paths to a more ethical and inclusive science.

The Flag of Ethics, implemented and operationalised by the IPDJ through the National Plan for Ethics in Sport (PNED), certifies initiatives, projects or entities that stand out in promoting ethical values through the practice of sport.

In this achievement, ODEC, CIIE, and FPCEUP demonstrate their holistic research approach that is close to the practice contexts.
