Provisional results of FCT's Call to Stimulate Institutional Scientific Employment (CEEC Institucional) (2nd Edition)
Two doctoral positions were awarded (1 Assistant Professor + 1 Principal Professor) to a joint application from CIIE and CPUP

FCT has announced the provisional results of the 2nd edition of the Stimulus Competition for Institutional Scientific Employment (CEEC Institucional). This biennial competition supports "plans for Scientific Employment and the Development of Scientific Careers by Higher Education Institutions, State Laboratories and other scientific institutions".

The application period ran from 11 March to 16 April 2021, with 87 applications submitted in all scientific areas, of which 60 were approved for funding by an international evaluation panel and which were awarded a total of 305 positions corresponding to six-year contracts for PhDs.

FPCEUP's two R&D units, CIIE and the Centre for Psychology (CPUP), submitted a joint application that obtained a total of 8.34 points, the 6th-best merit rating of all the applications submitted to the competition. This application was awarded two positions: an Assistant Researcher contract and a Principal Researcher contract.

The positions are distributed "on the basis of merit rating and institutional characterisation represented by the total number of doctoral graduates and the number of competitions to be opened by the institutions over the next five years for career positions".
