On 2 January 2025, Sara Pinheiro took part as a guest speaker at the conference Interculturality at School - challenges to promoting the fundamental values of the European Union with the theme: ‘Intercultural Education and the Development of Citizenship’, discussing successful learning environments in classrooms, schools and communities, developed under the SCIREARLY Project: Policies and Practices Based on Scientific Research for Reducing Underachievement and Early School Leaving in Europe.

This conference was part of the training course for teachers from all recruitment groups, with more than 150 teachers participating. The conference addressed interculturality as a central element in contemporary education in the European Union, exploring the challenges and opportunities that emerge from cultural diversity in schools and discussing the importance of inclusion and active citizenship in educational contexts.
