The project “UP.GRADE – Dynamics of Research in Education”, coordinated by Sofia Marques da Silva, was recognised in 2017 under the “Pedagogical Innovation Projects” call, an initiative created to promote the improvement of educational models through the funding of resources, equipment, services and other innovation‑driven actions in the pedagogical context.

The University of Porto is now committed to disseminating and monitoring the development of pedagogical projects funded by the institution. In the case of UP.GRADE, Sofia Marques da Silva explains how she has been transforming the teaching of research methodologies in education through a project‑based learning approach.
