CIIE researcher Sofia Castanheira Pais took part as a keynote speaker in the seminar “Mental health and inclusive education: pathways to academic success”, at the invitation of the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo (IPVC).

Her presentation, entitled “Teaching for all: inclusive pedagogical strategies in higher education”, focused on inclusive teaching approaches in higher education, highlighting the role of higher education institutions in creating more equitable learning environments that are responsive to student diversity and psychological well‑being.

The seminar took place on 21 April and brought together students researchers, lecturers and education professionals, fostering reflection and debate on mental health and inclusive education as key dimensions of academic success.
