Sofia A. Santos was elected Link Convenor of Network 7 – Social Justice and Intercultural Education of the European Educational Research Association (EERA) during the last ECER2025: European Conference on Educational Research, held last September in Belgrade.

Network 7 is dedicated to promoting discussions on inequalities and diversity in educational settings, embracing intersectionality as a central dimension of analysis. The network integrates theoretical, empirical, and methodological perspectives that explore the relationships between education, social justice, and cultural diversity, in contexts ranging from early childhood education to lifelong learning.

The election is a result of Sofia A. Santos' continued involvement in the network, over several years, as a reviewer and moderator, and in the last year as a co-convenor, working closely with the then Link Convenor Lisa Rosen.

EERA is one of the largest educational research associations in Europe, uniting over 40 national and regional associations that promote outstanding educational research for the benefit of education and society.
