The webinar "Education through Sport: reception and inclusion of young forced migrants in Portugal" was attended by more than 120 people from different public and private, national, regional and local organisations to report on the results of a research project into the role of sport as an educational strategy in the inclusion of young forced migrants in Portugal.
For about an hour, the results of a questionnaire developed at the national level were presented to different actors in the areas of Education, Sport, Social Action and Youth on their perceptions of sport as an educational strategy and its effects on the inclusion processes of young forced migrants. There was active participation from those present in sharing strategies and solutions for the formal implementation of sport as an educational strategy in social inclusion processes, as well as some challenges that could limit its implementation.
This webinar was organised by the JEDI Research Community of Practice (Youth, Education, Diversity & Innovation) of the CIIE - Centre for Educational Research and Intervention of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto.
