Abstract

The ‘Art and Citizenship Laboratory’ project proposes the development of spaces for artistic creation and civic participation aimed at 70 young people in conflict with the law (under educational guardianship measures and in prison), especially those who have failed and dropped out of school, promoting the activation of social and personal skills for inclusion and employability. The project aims to certify young people through participation in artistic workshops (theatre, music, visual arts, etc.) and different themed seminars, using an innovative methodological approach developed in partnership with the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at the University of Porto.
