I am passionate about human rights, particularly in later life, and this has driven my academic path.
Throughout my career, I have acquired a wide range of skills in diverse workplaces and volunteering settings outside academia, and I am happy to be currently enrolled in a Doctoral Programme in Education Sciences. My FCT-financed research project is focused on social representations and human rights experiences of older adults in care homes (project reference 2021.07356.BD).
I believe in an interdisciplinary approach to science; therefore, I am also part of the EIT Health Ageing PhD School, where I have access to a multi-university portfolio of advanced teaching in Ageing as well as Innovation and Entrepreneurship training.
