About the Book Series

'Estudos em Ciências da Educação' is CIIE's latest open-access e-book series, which incorporates original works on relevant topics in contemporary thought and research in Education Sciences. 
This book series aims to offer a diversity of perspectives on key topics in education, both formal and informal, welcoming theoretical-conceptual or empirical work and drawing on a variety of methodologies and disciplines relevant to education. Works that critically engage with wider debates are encouraged, with the scope to potentially inform educational theory, policy and practice beyond the context in which the original work was carried out. 

CIIE accepts proposals for publication in this book series. In addition to studies based on original scientific research and essays, works based on theses and dissertations can also be submitted, provided they are substantially adapted to book form. The works are published in Portuguese or English.
Based on the proposal, CIIE decides whether the manuscript falls within the scope of the book series. If this is deemed appropriate, the coordinators of the series will forward the proposal to at least two evaluators, who will decide on its originality and scientific quality.
