Last week, it was held at the University of Svishtov, Bulgaria, the kick-off meeting of the EMStep project “Empowering Middle School Teachers for Social Inclusion”, funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ KA2 program, where researchers Ana Cristina Torres and Daniela Pinto participated, integrated members of the CIIE, representing the team that will work on this project.
The EMStep project, coordinated by a team at Ege University, Turkey, will promote collaboration between researchers and teachers from Turkey, Bulgaria, Italy, Portugal and Slovenia in an online course development and a peer observation program between school teachers for improvement of the leadership skills and practices for inclusion in Middle school (the 2nd cycle of Basic Education in Portugal).
The Portuguese team comprises Ana Cristina Torres, Daniela Pinto, Thiago Freires, Angélica Monteiro and Amélia Lopes.
