The digital platform economy has grown exponentially in large urban contexts across Europe, depending mainly on migrant labour. The European Commission warns about the undignified working conditions of many workers, who face numerous obstacles. This research has an exploratory nature, given the scarcity of literature produced in the national context.
Based on a qualitative approach, this study includes interviews with digital platforms workers to get to know their trajectories, experiences and expectations, as well as with relevant local and national political and social representatives in the field of research, to characterise the reality of work in digital platforms in the national context by listening to their different practices, expectations and interests. The results of this research work aim to inform future research projects and inspire intervention projects in Education Sciences, which seek to respond to the identified challenges.
