This project aims to create a more flexible approach to student learning, assessment and certification across the European higher education sector, in order to increase the employability of graduates. The aim is to improve student satisfaction levels by enabling them to get involved in real-world issues in a sphere that is of considerable importance to many of them - social responsibility.
Using the Reference Standards for University Social Responsibility in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), which were produced in a previous project funded by the EU Lifelong Learning Programme, this project's work develops the concept of learning facilitation as a key to the effective involvement of students as active agents of their own learning.
Using a group of trained facilitators, a group of 60 students from the three participating universities will be trained as Social Responsibility Auditors in a programme based on student-centred learning and action-reflection, delivered in mixed mode. This programme will culminate in four audits of different European higher education institutions, carried out by transnational teams of the students involved.
