COSI.ed will uspcale the good practice from the Erasmus+ project on Marginalisation and Co-created Education (MaCE) of socially disadvantaged learners to excel at school and work. The model builds on the presumption that educational staff and students form a community of practice. In this context the experts (educators) and the beginners (students) work side by side, learning together and developing knowledge and competence. The methodology allows vulnerable students to express their views, which helps understand their stories and identify subsequently barriers for their better learning and performance. Thus, young people learn about themselves and how to develop their potential, the educational staff develops soft skills and understanding on how to support vulnerable young people. The consortium include both partners from the established MaCE network and new ones. These involve five universities and six regional partners working with young disadvantaged learners of different age groups and are in Northern, Southern and Eastern Europe. The implementation of the COSI.ed model in different regions, educational contexts and by involving different groups of young disadvantaged people, the model will be further fine-tuned and will become more sustainable and more broadly applicable.
